Kumbh Mela
Kumbh Mela is the holy festival for Hindu religion. In this festival, not only Hindus, but, people from all over the world attend this festival. As per the records, number of visitors attending Kumbh mela 2001, this is the only festival in the world having highest number of visitors. In kumbh mela 2001, a total of 60 million people attended. The visitors are here to see the huge faith of people towards religion. Visitors from UK and US are here for their interest in the tradition and religion.

Kumbh mela is one of the best combination of Indian culture. This festival is only mentioned in Hindu religion, but, it is attended by people from all religion, not only from India, but, out side India also. People attend this festival, without any bar of color, culture, language.
For this festival, peoples has huge faith. Kumbh mela comes after 12 years and always being organised in Allahabad near Sangam. This place is also known as "Triveni Sangam", because, three holy rivers The Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meets here.
It is mentioned in various Hindu vedas that if a people takes bath in this river in this holy season, he can get rid of all of his sins.

The place for Kumbh mela is full of spiritual. Three rivers meets here to make them more spiritual. There is very important role of this place in Hindu religion.
3. Holy Place
This is mentioned in various holy book that this is a holy place for Hindus. Specially, Sangam is known as very special in Allahabad.
4. Naga Sadhu
Naga sadhus are supposed to be the leader of the Hindu religion. Special feature of these sadhus is that they never use any cloth. They are remain same throughout year. They used to live in Himalayas. For this festival only they arrive here.
In every Kumbh mela, they are the first to take bath, then other people start taking bath.
Kumbh mela 2013 is going to start January, 2013. It will start with "Makar Sankranti", which is on 14th January, 2013. Last bath is on 25th February, 2013 on the occasion of "Maghi Purnima".
