There are two international airport in Maharastra state, india. After mumbai, Nagpur serve international flights with regular domestic flights. Nagpur airport is enrolled as multimodel international hub airport due to biggest economical development project going on in india. the project named as multi - model international cargo hub and airport at Nagpur(MIHAN) consist of two parts first is an international airport serves as a cargo hub and second is special economic zone(SEZ). This project is controlling by maharastra airport development company. Here Nagpur airport name is Dr. babasaheb ambedhkar international airport renamed after Dr. babasaheb ambedhkar was chief architecture of constitution of india. He got "bharat ratna" in 2005. there are six airline companies fly from nagpur to other places including international flights.
