Celebrate vijayadashmi in Deekshabhoomi

14 october 1956, Dr. Ambedkar (chief architect of indian constitution) adopt the Buddhism with the support of 380000 people in nagpur (central city in india). The place where holy moment happened is currently known as Deekshbhoomi. Deekshabhoomi is a sacred monument which was designed by sheo dan mal.
The shape of monument is stupa shape which is completely hollow from inside. The Date of 14 october is celebrate every year on behalf of Buddha to encourage people for Buddhism as lots of people gather from every corner of the world and celebrate the moment. The best architectural place in central india is open for the people on december 18, 2001 which is inaugurated by former president of india named K.R.narayanan.

Deekshabhoomi is situated in ramdaspeth, Nagpur. From airport it is hardly 5 KM. So if you are in nagpur feel the holiness of Deekshabhoomi.

  1. Good news. Design of the stupa at Deekshabhoomi is based upon the architecture of the world famous stupa of Sanchi. But unlike the stupa of Sanchi, Deekshabhoomi stupa is completely hollow from inside. It is the largest hollow stupa among all Buddhist. Check out more about Deekshabhoomi also.
